Bowings get lost.

Sheet music software stores annotations at pixel coordinates. That's why marks vanish when you get a new copy, can't transfer between editions, and won't sync across the section. Bench stores them at musical coordinates instead.

You mark the master part. Then you copy those markings into 25 parts, by hand, with a pencil. When the conductor changes a bowing in rehearsal, you do it again.

Bench anchors every mark to its musical address — down-bow, measure 47, beat 2, above the staff. Not to a pixel on a page.
